Coming off psychotropic medication shouldn't be guesswork
TaperMate is an Australian-built tool for patients and clinicians working through a deprescribing plan together. The calculators are the patient-facing surface; the TaperMate app handles the longer schedule and symptom monitoring; the telehealth clinic is there when you need support from an expert in psychotropic deprescribing.
Tens of thousands of people look for peer-support networks online for medication tapering, often because their prescribers don't have the time or the tools to support a slow reduction. Those communities are remarkable — but there has to be a better way. TaperMate exists to bridge this gap. With simple dose calculators, a user-friendly mobile app, and a pharmacist-led telehealth clinic, we're making safe tapering the standard of care, not the exception.

I'm an early-career pharmacist from Canberra. I graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours from the University of Canberra in 2018 and have since trained in alcohol and other drugs, with a particular interest in prescribed medication withdrawal. My passion for harm minimisation and consumer health literacy led to TaperMate.
