A transparent dose tool you can share with patients
TaperMate's web calculators show the formula and inputs on every result, so patients can do the conversion between appointments with full visibility of the maths. Built for the Australian regulatory context.
Transparent maths
Every input, the formula and the result are visible on the same screen. Patients can verify the answer by hand — and so can you.
Plain-English instructions
Step-by-step instructions adapted from the RELEASE Toolkit, in Australian English. Doesn't recommend a method — assumes the prescriber has chosen one.
Calculation only — never administration
No reminders, no scheduling, no "take now" timers — just conversions between target dose and measurable amount, on demand. Dose reminders and schedules live in the TaperMate app.
How clinicians use it
- 1
Discuss the taper plan in your consult
Decide the schedule, the method (liquid, cut tablets, beads) and the next reduction together — as you usually would.
- 2
Share the calculator link with the patient
Send the URL — or the deep-linked version with the strength and dose pre-filled (?strength=50&volume=10&dose=12.5). The patient lands on the right calc, with the right inputs.
- 3
Between appointments, the patient measures the dose
The transparent formula gives them — and you — confidence in the number. The TaperMate app handles the rest of the schedule.
Share a calculator from your next consult
Bookmark the directory. Copy a deep link with the patient's strength pre-filled. Point them to the TaperMate app for the full schedule, or refer them to the TaperMate Clinic for a personalised plan.
