Weighing a crushed dosulepin tablet (or a capsule’s contents) on a milligram scale gives precise small doses. The key idea: a tablet’s physical weight isn’t the same as its drug content, so the calculator scales by tablet mass.

What you'll need

  • A milligram scale (ideally reading to 0.001 g)
  • A small weighing boat or spatula
  • A pill crusher or mortar

Method

  1. Weigh a whole tablet or the full contents of a capsule first — average a few for accuracy.
  2. Enter that weight above with your target dose to get the amount to weigh.
  3. Crush the tablet, then weigh out that amount on the scale and take it.
  4. Make each dose fresh; don’t pre-weigh several days at once.

Tips

  • Weigh on a level, draught-free surface and tare the boat first.
